Savannah Huff was in 5th grade when the Joplin Tornado happened in 2011. That personal experience at a young age shaped her passions and influenced her career trajectory as a service-minded citizen and leader.

Biography
During her high school years, she became engaged as one of a handful of students nationally to serve on the FEMA Youth Preparedness Council where she participated in training and exercises related to manmade and natural disasters, worked with a collaborative team of youth from across the nation to provide awareness and training opportunities for schools and provided on-going assistance to FEMA as a spokesperson for the FEMA Youth Preparedness Council for a variety of national organizations focused on children and youth issues. Now, as a graduate of the University of Arkansas, Savannah remains committed to doing her part to build more resilient communities through her work and leadership at HaloRRS.
